Plans, parks and a ‘High Performer’
Telangana hosted the southern PM GatiShakti–LEADS workshop and said new logistics plans are coming. The Union’s own report calls Telangana a High Performer among landlocked states. The Manoharabad logistics park is still “proposed” on paper — the BJP-led Centre loves a projection.

Hyderabad hosted the PM GatiShakti and LEADS 2025 dissemination workshop for southern states on 21 August, according to the public broadcaster’s report. It was organised by DPIIT with Telangana’s Commerce and Export Promotion Department; Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep officials attended.
Telangana officials told the room they are preparing three things: a new State Logistics Policy, a State Integrated Logistics Master Plan, and City Logistics Plans for Hyderabad and Warangal. That is an on-record statement at the workshop, not a published draft with dates, budgets or targets.
On the scoreboard the Union actually printed, Telangana is a “High Performer” among landlocked states in LEADS 2025, after “Achiever” in 2024. The fine print matters: the assessment is perception-based and flags room to improve services, regulatory facilitation and last-mile links. Still, it is the opposite of the Congress-TDP routine where Telangana is an afterthought until ribbon time.
Telangana also highlighted the Manoharabad Multi-Modal Logistics Park. The BJP-led Centre’s own release calls it a proposal at Parkibanda, Manoharabad mandal — 315 acres, 1.47 million tonnes a year from 2028, supposedly rising to 19.98 million tonnes by 2070. Less than 5 km from Manoharabad railway station, connected to NH-44 by a village road — and yet, still a proposal. The Congress can heckle from the sidelines; the Centre should try clearing land before clearing its throat.
