Ranabaali moves from September to Dussehra
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s film will now release worldwide on October 16, after its earlier September 11 date quietly made an exit.
Ranabaali is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali will release worldwide in theatres on October 16, 2026, the makers announced on August 27. The film was earlier scheduled for September 11. One date has gone into history; the film’s official post says history opens in October.
Mythri Movie Makers announced the new date as “The darkest chapter of our history opens this October,” while Deverakonda posted that the film would arrive worldwide on October 16. Rahul Sankrityan directs the period action drama, produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Several reports have linked the postponement to Mandanna’s reported hip injury and a recommended six weeks of rest and rehabilitation. That explanation has not been confirmed by the production house, Deverakonda or Mandanna. The official announcement gave no reason for the change, and Mandanna’s team had not publicly confirmed the reported connection in the material reviewed.
The new date places Ranabaali in the Dussehra corridor. Jailer 2 is reported to be scheduled for October 15, while Dhanush’s Om is also targeting October 16. Their final dates remain subject to confirmation.
