India added two medals at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on September 24, with Satnam Singh and Salman Khan winning bronze in the men’s double sculls and Naorem Roshibina Devi taking silver in the women’s sanda 60kg event.
The Indian rowing pair finished third in 6:13.25. China’s Yi Xudi and Nie Yide won gold, while Uzbekistan’s Mekhrojbek Mamatkulov and Pavel Sorin took silver. India’s pair were reported to be second at 500m, 1,000m and 1,500m before dropping to third in the final stretch. The splits are from secondary reports; an official split sheet was not found.
Roshibina lost 0–2 to Zhang Xiaoyu, with Zhang winning both rounds 5–0. The silver is Roshibina’s second consecutive Asian Games silver in the event. India’s reported tally after the results was one gold, six silvers and seven bronzes — 14 medals. The Games run in Japan from September 19 to October 4.
