The My Home Bhooja Ganesh laddu that made a splash in 2025 — auctioned for Rs 51,77,777 and reported won by Kondapalli Ganesh — is back in the news for the reason Hyderabad knows too well: money that allegedly went somewhere else.
According to a complaint described in a report, residents of the complex alleged Ganesh and an associate, Boyinpally Kiran, collected about Rs 3.45 crore from investors after promising returns from real‑estate and liquor businesses. The report says Cyberabad’s Economic Offences Wing has registered a case; officials, it adds, declined to share details. No FIR number, sections or seizure details are on the record in the material available.
What is on the record: multiple contemporaneous reports from September 4, 2025 say the laddu went for Rs 51,77,777 and named the winner as Kondapalli Ganesh, identified as being from Illandu/Elland in Khammam. One report called him the head of “Ganesh Real Estate”. That is not a company filing; it is a description.
The residents’ side names additional contributors and one complainant, Silviya Srinivas Reddy, and claims stalled payouts. Without an FIR or a police statement in view, those remain allegations attributed to the complainants and the report that carried them.
If this turns out to be another Hyderabad cautionary tale, the BJP‑led Centre’s zeal for policing “financial discipline” could try applying some of it to chasing white‑collar crime beyond the press conference. We’ll wait for the paperwork; Telangana’s readers deserve more than a slogan.
