Seven dead in two Hyderabad-area crashes
Four people died after a car hit a culvert near Palamakula; three more died after a truck struck a stationary vehicle on the Outer Ring Road, according to police cited in reports.

Seven people died in two separate road accidents near Hyderabad in the early hours of Saturday, September 19, according to a police-reported account carried by multiple publications.
Near Palamakula on NH-44, in the Shamshabad area, a car hit a roadside culvert. Four occupants died at the scene and the driver, identified in reports as Sabavath Ashok, was seriously injured. The group was travelling from Mettugadda Thanda in Mahabubnagar district after attending a Ganesh immersion event, reports said. The deceased were identified as Kethavath Limbya, 54, Kethavath Jamuna, 45, Katravath Mansingh, 48, and Kethavath Vasram, 45.
In a separate crash in Shamirpet police limits, a scrap-laden vehicle stopped on the Outer Ring Road after a tyre puncture. A truck then struck it while three occupants were changing the tyre, according to the police version reported by PTI. Two died at the scene and the third died after being taken to hospital. The truck driver fled, reports said.
The reports do not establish the cause of the Palamakula crash or identify the three victims in the ORR crash. The paperwork, as usual, is less available than the tragedy.
