Shamshabad bus crash kills one, injures several

One person died and several others were injured after a Seven Hills Travels bus crashed into Balaji Bhavan Hotel near Shamshabad on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru Highway early on Monday, September 14, 2026, according to two reports.
Telangana Today identified the deceased as Muhammad Azeem, 34, from Karimnagar’s Citizens Colony, and reported that his body was moved to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The reports said the bus also struck parked vehicles before hitting the hotel. The injured were taken to hospitals, but no official figure has been published.
Police said the investigation was under way. Accounts of the crash sequence differ: one report attributed a container-avoidance account to police, while an eyewitness described a car and lorry being involved. Neither version establishes responsibility. Shamshabad/RGI Airport police, Seven Hills Travels and the hospitals involved have not publicly provided the final casualty count or a detailed reconstruction. The paperwork, unlike the bus, has not yet reached the scene.
