Telangana cops, Nanded crowd and one missing FIR

A Telangana Police team from Bazar Hatnur police station in Adilabad district was allegedly attacked in Maharashtra’s Nanded district while escorting a theft accused, according to a complaint by sub-inspector Ramesh Parshuram Gokla reported by PTI on September 1.
The complaint says the team detained Shaikh Bakr alias Jafar Shaikh near Gokulnagar in Kinwat tehsil around 7.30 pm on August 30, after tracing an autorickshaw allegedly stolen from Telangana to the Chikhli area. A crowd allegedly attacked the personnel, damaged their private vehicle and freed Shaikh. Telangana police personnel reportedly fired several rounds into the air, after which Shaikh was reported re-arrested on August 31. The complaint names 50–60 people.
