Hyderabad’s Tank Bund restrictions continued into Saturday, September 26, as the Ganesh immersion process ran behind schedule. Motorists were stranded for a second day, with long queues reported near Indira Park and Lower Tank Bund. Some drivers argued with traffic police after being stopped. (Telangana Today)
The Hyderabad Traffic Police had announced that general traffic on the main procession route would be barred from 6 am on September 25 to 10 am on September 26, with extensions possible until immersion was completed. The affected routes included Tank Bund, NTR Marg, Necklace Road, PV Statue and the Khairatabad flyover. (The New Indian Express)
Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said heavy devotee and vehicle movement had delayed the process and asked residents to avoid the affected roads unless travel was essential.
