The Paradise crosses $100K, allegedly
Prathyangira Cinemas says North American premiere pre-sales crossed $100,000 through Cinemark. The sales record, meanwhile, remains off-screen.
The distributor reported more than $100,000 in North American premiere pre-sales; independent verification was not found.
Telugu film The Paradise, starring Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela, has a $100,000 North American pre-sales claim — not a $100,000 box-office collection.
Overseas distributor Prathyangira Cinemas said on September 9 that premiere pre-sales through Cinemark had crossed $100,000, calling them the “all time fastest” for a Telugu film. Several reports repeated the announcement. Cinemark lists the film for September 24, while Regal listings show September 23 premiere screenings. (Cinemark; Regal)
That is the documented claim. No public ticket count, sales breakdown, Cinemark confirmation or independent audit was found. The territory split, ticket prices and whether the figure includes taxes or booking fees are also undisclosed. The “fastest ever” record is therefore a distributor claim, not an established industry record. The film has pre-sales. The collection number can wait for the collection.
