Nani has confirmed that The Paradise will reach theatres on September 24 without a conventional trailer. The film’s team has apparently decided that making the movie is more urgent than making a video explaining that the movie exists.
At a press interaction in Hyderabad on September 11, Nani said director Srikanth Odela and music director Anirudh Ravichander would need four to five days to prepare a good trailer. “We don’t have time to cut a trailer,” he said, adding that the team had collectively chosen to focus on delivering a quality film instead.
The release date has been reaffirmed by the film’s production channel, SLV Cinemas, and its official teaser listing. Promotional material has already been released, but the team has not established whether another shorter promo, glimpse or song video will arrive before release. For once, the missing trailer is not being sold as a grand marketing masterstroke. It is being described as a deadline problem, which is considerably more believable than most film-industry superlatives.
