Telangana Police have registered three cases over alleged turmeric-water and milk spraying on roads in Erravalli and Varadarajpur after a Dalit Congress protest near K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse. The police account, reported by The Indian Express, says the spraying happened after Dalit protesters left. The reported sections include the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Protection of Civil Rights Act and Sections 196 and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police said no arrests had been made when the report was published and that investigators had collected turmeric as forensic evidence. That is a police statement, not a published forensic finding. The BRS says visuals circulated by Congress leaders are “misleading and AI-generated”. No original images, FIR copies or cyber-forensics report are available in the material reviewed. The alleged act, and the allegations against the named accused, therefore remain matters under investigation—not a finished verdict conveniently supplied by political social media.
The Congress has alleged that BRS workers acted on KCR’s directions. The material reviewed does not establish that claim. It does establish that three cases were registered. For once, the record is asking both parties to do something more demanding than circulate certainty.
