Police have registered cases over alleged purification rituals after a Congress Dalit protest near KCR’s farmhouse. The ritual and the BRS’s AI-image claim remain unverified in the public record.

Telangana Police have registered three cases over alleged turmeric-water “purification” acts in Erravelli and Varadarajpur, near KCR’s farmhouse in Siddipet district, after a Congress Dalit protest. The cases invoke provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Protection of Civil Rights Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. No arrests had been made as of September 11, according to a police account reported by The Indian Express.
Police said one complaint alleged that turmeric water was used on the road after Dalit protesters left. The alleged act, its exact location and the identities of those involved have not been independently established through publicly available FIRs, videos, seizure records or forensic reports. The BRS has filed a counter-complaint alleging that images circulated by Congress leaders were AI-generated. That remains a BRS allegation; no technical or police finding has been published to settle it.
The Congress government’s political machinery has a ready-made outrage story. The public record currently has three cases, no published primary documents and an image-forensics question still waiting for evidence. Telangana Police have yet to provide the paperwork that would make the certainty less theatrical.
