Vaishali Nagar underpass: 14 more days of detours
Cyberabad Traffic Police have extended restrictions until September 16, saying road-widening and stormwater-drain works remain incomplete.
Traffic restrictions at the Vaishali Nagar Railway Underpass have been extended until September 16.
The Vaishali Nagar Railway Underpass will remain under traffic restrictions until September 16, with Cyberabad Traffic Police extending diversions for another 14 days from September 3. The stated reason is familiar: road-widening and stormwater-drain works are still incomplete.
The restrictions affect routes around Hafeezpet, My Home Mangala, Raghavendra Nagar Colony, Kondapur, Allwyn Junction, Gopal Nagar, Calvary Temple, Vasavi Lake City and Hafeezpet Lake. Motorists have been asked to use alternative routes and plan journeys in advance — the standard civic solution when a road project acquires a longer life than its users wanted.
The restriction began on July 16 for 20 days and was later extended by 29 days, followed by this further 14-day extension. The public record reviewed does not identify the executing agency, contractor, project cost, revised completion schedule or any penalty. September 16 is the next date on the traffic advisory, not a publicly verified completion certificate.
