1.41 lakh properties, zero public order
Telangana has reportedly created a route to free eligible private properties from the Section 22-A list. The government has not yet published the order proving the route is open.

Telangana has reportedly begun a scrutiny process to remove eligible private houses, plots and flats from the Section 22-A prohibited list, potentially helping about 1.41 lakh properties. The relief matters to owners in parts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri and Sangareddy, where properties were reportedly caught in the list during changes to Dharani.
The reported criteria include valid layout, building or apartment approvals and at least one post-approval link document. District committees headed by collectors are expected to examine applications. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said, “Eligible cases will be resolved at the earliest.” That is a promise of scrutiny, not proof that 1.41 lakh properties have already been cleared.
The missing item is the one that would settle the matter: the Revenue Department’s signed order. No order number, district-wise list, calculation behind the figure or evidence of registrations restarting at sub-registrar offices has been publicly produced in the sources reviewed. The reported 300-colony figure appears in one report and remains unverified. For now, the government has announced a route. Property owners still need the registration office to actually let them through it.
