388 acres, 120 notices and one unfinished survey
Telangana officials are checking land records in Erravalli after the Congress government alleged that government land overlaps with property linked to KCR’s farmhouse. The survey has begun; the verdict has not.
The Erravalli land survey has begun, but no final report has been published.
Revenue officials have surveyed about 388 acres in Survey No. 325 around Erravalli and issued notices to at least 120 farmers to produce ownership documents, according to reports citing revenue officials and local farmers. Gajwel RDO Chandrakala reportedly asked them to appear on September 21.
The Congress government says the survey will establish whether government or assigned land overlaps with property associated with former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy alleged in the Assembly that 388 acres of government land had been included in a roughly 700-acre property. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said legally registered owners would not be disturbed and that officials troubling valid patta holders would face action.
That is the part that needs documents, not speeches. No final survey report, certified map, notice list, land-record extract or recovery order has been published. The reporting also does not explain the apparent Survey No. 325–1944 discrepancy. The Congress government has announced a land inquiry; it has yet to publish the land record that would finish it.
