AK47 teaser arrives; October 2 remains tentative
Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas’ first actor-director collaboration has a teaser, a listed release date and one earlier postponement report still loitering around.
The film is currently listed for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
The teaser for Aadarsha Kutumbam – AK47, starring Venkatesh and written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, was released on September 12, according to the Telugu Film Producers Council. Srinidhi Shetty is listed as the female lead. The council describes the film as a family-set mix of entertainment, action and dialogue — promotional copy doing its customary unpaid overtime.
October 2, 2026 is the worldwide theatrical release date currently listed by the council and repeated in trade coverage. But a September 1 report, citing unnamed sources, said the film might be postponed, possibly to October 16, and that no official announcement had been made then. No official revised date was found in the available research, so October 2 remains a listed date, not a guarantee carved into cinema stone.
S. Radha Krishna, also known as Chinababu, is producing the film under Haarika & Hassine Creations. S. Thaman is credited with the music, with Ravi K. Chandran as cinematographer and Navin Nooli as editor. The film marks Venkatesh and Trivikram’s first collaboration as actor and director; they had worked together earlier in a writing capacity.
