The studio is reported to be handling Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution for three films, while the money and scale remain conveniently undisclosed.

A Hyderabad cinema complex is connected by pipes and film reels to several cinema screens, while a curtain hides coins, ledgers and a weighing scale behind it.

Annapurna’s reported distribution expansion comes with the numbers still behind the curtain.

Annapurna Studios is reported to be expanding into theatrical distribution across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with I’m Game, Sardar 2 and EPIC – First Semester among the titles on its slate. It is also reported to be co-producing and distributing Ramba Oorvasi Menaka. The September 4 report said I’m Game, starring Dulquer Salmaan, had released on September 3.

The reported model is commission-based distribution, intended to give story-led films more theatrical opportunities. Supriya Yarlagadda, Annapurna’s executive director, said Telugu audiences have celebrated good cinema “irrespective of language” and that the company wanted to build a “transparent and sustainable distribution ecosystem”. Nagarjuna Akkineni had separately said in August that Annapurna had entered distribution and had begun in Nizam.

The direction is clear; the balance sheet is not. The material available does not establish screen counts, territory rights, investment, margins, commercial performance or measurable economic impact in Hyderabad. Annapurna is extending a Hyderabad studio’s role from making and hosting films to reportedly moving them into theatres. The exact size of that move is still behind the curtain.
