Chiru’s Kaaka locks Sankranthi

Chiranjeevi’s Mega158 now has a name: Kaaka. The makers dropped the title, a first glimpse and a Sankranthi theatrical date — January 13, 2027 — on August 22, the actor’s birthday. According to published descriptions of the video, Chiranjeevi appears as K. Satyam, a supervisor at Ammaji Aqua Industries in Ravulapalem, with the cut hinting at a switch to an action-heavy backstory. (Source: the released glimpse as described in reports.)
The film is directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, which earlier announced its second schedule kicking off in Hyderabad on June 22 after Pollachi. The company’s own materials list the project but don’t carry a public 40-day tally or an edit-lock note.
Those two — “40 days completed” and “first half locked” — keep circulating via industry-source reports. Treat them as that until the banner puts it on the record. The release date, by contrast, is an on-the-record announcement; like all Sankranthi stakes, it still lives at the mercy of calendars and competitors.
For Telangana’s moviegoers, a Chiru-led Sankranthi is its own plan. The BJP’s culture wars won’t sell a single ticket here, and the Congress’s sermonising on “content over commerce” never paid for a show at RTC X Roads. Kaaka will — if the film lands, not because Delhi approves.
