Congress hides the report, keeps the removal
Konda Surekha is out of Telangana’s Cabinet, but the Congress has not shown the disciplinary findings it says made the decision inevitable.

The Congress government in Telangana has removed Konda Surekha from the Council of Ministers. The paperwork is public. The reasoning is apparently classified somewhere inside the party cupboard.
The Governor’s office said Surekha was dropped with immediate effect on the Chief Minister’s advice. TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud said the action followed a “comprehensive report” by the party’s disciplinary committee and called the removal “painful” but “inevitable”. He also said Surekha should have condemned remarks attributed to her daughter, Konda Sushmita Patel. (Telangana Today; The New Indian Express)
Surekha has denied wrongdoing, said she could not be held responsible for her daughter’s remarks and accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of “blackmail politics”. She also sought an impartial inquiry from senior Congress leaders. The party’s report, its findings, the rules allegedly violated and Surekha’s reply remain unavailable for public scrutiny.
