Sun Pictures has announced DC will release worldwide on August 7, a one‑week move from the earlier July 31 date. The makers also said the film has been certified “A”. Both the date and the rating come via Sun Pictures’ posts, reproduced by two separate reports.

DC is directed by Arun Matheswaran and stars filmmaker‑turned‑lead Lokesh Kanagaraj with Wamiqa Gabbi; Sanjana Krishnamoorthy is listed in a key role. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander. Sun Pictures separately named Asian Suresh Entertainment as the AP and Telangana theatrical distributor, and Gokulam Movies for Kerala and Karnataka.

The CBFC certificate itself was not retrieved from the board’s public database during this check; the certification is what the makers have publicly claimed. Which, in this industry, still counts as faster disclosure than most governments manage.
