Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the Revenue Department and the Siddipet District Collector to examine land linked to former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli, according to reports of his Assembly remarks on September 16.
The reported inquiry will establish the farmhouse’s extent, verify land purchased by KCR and determine whether any land is government or assigned land. Revanth Reddy said recoverable land would be taken over and distributed to poor families, including Dalits. Reports put the proposed figure at 800 families, with roughly half an acre each. The paperwork, unlike the political temperature, has not arrived yet.
The figures being cited — 700 acres in total, including 388 acres allegedly classified as government or assigned land and 295 acres of patta land — remain claims attributed to the Chief Minister.
