Farmhouse feeder? Show the file

A Telugu daily says a Rs 1.17 crore dedicated 11 kV feeder is being laid from Murtuzaguda substation to Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy’s farmhouse. Until TGSPDCL or the Congress minister shows the sanction and the bill, it’s a claim — and the onus is on the BJP-led Centre’s favourite “watchdogs” and the Congress-run energy setup to put the papers out.

A large sealed TGSPDCL file marked with a question mark sits beside a model 11 kV power line running toward a farmhouse, while two empty office chairs and a locked records cupboard stand in the background.

The alleged dedicated feeder awaits its estimate, sanction and bills.

A published report alleges TGSPDCL has sanctioned an 11 kV dedicated feeder — 6.5 km of 185 sq mm AB cable — from the Murtuzaguda 33/11 kV substation to a farmhouse said to be in Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy’s name at Chilkur. It cites an estimate number (T-2628-65-01-13-04-001), pegs the estimate at Rs 1.17 crore under “T&D Improvements to Original Works”, and says sanction came within 15 days. The same report also tosses in “about Rs 2 crore” without explaining the gap. According to the report itself, most of this rests on “it is learnt” and an unnamed official — no estimate copy, no sanction order, no work order, no bills attached.

Here’s the standard Telangana test: if public money built a private feeder, show the document trail. TGSPDCL has not published the estimate or sanction for the cited number, and the Congress minister has not put his response on record. Dedicated feeders do exist in regulation — the record shows they can be approved with costs recorded — which is exactly why this one, if sanctioned, will have a paper trail down to the accounting code. Put it out.

So yes, there’s a concrete allegation with specific numbers. And until the papers surface, it’s a concrete allegation with specific numbers. Telangana readers don’t need BJP talking points or Congress spin; they need the file. The Congress-run energy establishment can clear this in one upload — if it wants to.
