Their spokesperson says it was prime industrial land for defence/aerospace R&D and calls it misuse of power. According to their own telling, it was allotted in 2024. According to the record everyone can see, it was also voluntarily surrendered in September 2024. Both can be true; only one is on paper.
What is established from contemporaneous reporting: Siddhartha Vihar Trust sought a five‑acre civic‑amenity site in the Hi‑Tech Defence and Aerospace Park, KIADB issued an allotment in 2024, and Rahul M. Kharge wrote on 20 September 2024 asking KIADB to cancel the allotment “as a voluntary surrender” under Clause 8. Karnataka’s Industries Minister said the process was transparent; Priyank Kharge argued the chairman was qualified. That’s the responses on the record; the BJP’s ₹100‑crore number remains a political estimate with no valuation document attached.
What isn’t in the BJP’s parade: the allotment order, the eligibility file, the lease terms, a valuation basis, or any official inquiry finding illegality. If the Congress government in Karnataka had a clean process, publish the file. If the BJP wants this to be more than a slogan, produce the documents. Until then, Telangana will save its outrage for things that come with exhibits — not just press conferences.
