‘Flop’ on estimates. Sure.
Koimoi tagged Nagabandham a “FLOP” off numbers it says are estimates it hasn’t verified. Telangana cinema can live with verdicts — audited ones, preferably.
The verdict arrives before the accounts are opened.
Koimoi’s Telugu box-office tracker on July 24 listed Nagabandham at ₹27.94 crore worldwide and ₹22.17 crore in India, with a “FLOP” verdict — all marked with an asterisk because the film was still in theatres. The site’s own footnote: “box office numbers are based on estimates and various sources. Numbers have not been independently verified by Koimoi.” That is the foundation under the stamp.
The tracker also says its verdicts consider only theatrical earnings — no OTT, satellite, music or other rights. Its “flop” definition (“loses 50% or more of its investment”) implies a budget and breakeven math the page does not show: no budget, no distributor price, no territory breakevens, no calculation. The byline is a generic team, not a named analyst.
The one primary record we do have is the CBFC certificate: Telugu film Nagabandham, producers Annapureddy Krishna Kishore and Nishitha Reddy Nagireddy (NIK Studios), certified June 23, 2026. It records the film, not its cash register. Other trackers throw up different estimates anyway. If Delhi’s professional outrage machines want to dunk on “Tollywood flops”, they can start by producing audited numbers — not screenshots of disclaimers.
