Hyderabad’s Independence Day corridor filled up fast. Three Telugu-language releases were dated for August 14 — Pallaburusu, Agadha and Vishwanath and Sons — with Hushar Pittalu listed to arrive today, August 15.
Pallaburusu is the cleanest-confirmed of the lot: Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios announced “Cinemas From AUG 14TH, 2026,” naming Uday Chauhan as writer-director and Aditya Pittie and Vivek Krishnani as producers on EPIC’s side. That’s the makers on the record.
Agadha’s August 14 plan came from the team too — MS Raju was quoted calling it his dream project and locking “worldwide” for the 14th under the Sri Adi Varaha banner. That’s an attributed maker announcement, not an audited ledger.
Vishwanath and Sons shows up on ticketing for August 14 in both Telugu and Tamil. No studio note surfaced in this search, but the listings align on the date.
Hushar Pittalu is pegged to Independence Day by ETimes — August 15, with Bikshu directing and K. Venkat Yadav producing. The official teaser metadata matches the credits and flags Asian Suresh Entertainment as the release entity; the date itself isn’t in that teaser.
What this isn’t: box-office fiction hour. No verified screen counts, occupancy or day-one grosses were available in the material we found. Save the “biggest opening” chest-thumping for when someone produces numbers with a name attached. Telangana audiences will do their bit; the BJP-led Centre didn’t schedule this corridor, and the TDP won’t rescue a weak screenplay.
