A boiler-related accident reportedly killed one worker and injured several others at Sai Life Sciences in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley, according to a report published on August 30, 2026. The deceased worker was from Maharashtra. The number of injured workers, their condition and the hospital treating them were not disclosed.
Mohan Rao, identified in the report as the Director of Factories, said officials inspected the premises and issued the company a notice seeking details on the cause of the accident and the safety protocols in place. “We have inspected the premises. A notice has been issued to the company seeking details on the cause of the accident and safety protocols in place,” Rao was quoted as saying.
Genome Valley police reportedly said no case had been registered as of publication. The accident’s precise mechanism, the contents of the notice and Sai Life Sciences’ response have not been independently confirmed. In an industrial corridor, “inquiry” is not the same thing as an answer.
