A six-member committee has reportedly completed its inquiry into the RIMS-Adilabad SNCU fire that killed five infants. The report is expected to be submitted “in a day or two”, according to Telangana Today. There is no public copy yet, so the paperwork remains more available than the answers.
The panel, headed by ITDA Utnoor project officer Manda Makarandu, inspected the unit, questioned staff and examined electrical, fire-safety and structural issues. It also collected CCTV footage and electronic devices, an earlier report said. District Collector Rajarshi Shah said the committee was examining hospital safety standards and would submit its findings to the administration.
An unnamed committee member told Telangana Today that systematic lapses and an AC insulation failure led to the explosion, and alleged that the institute had no dedicated AC technician. Those claims are not confirmed by a publicly available inquiry report or technical audit. The Telangana Human Rights Commission has separately sought a detailed Health Department report, with the matter listed for October 27.
Five infants are dead. The report is still pending.
