Mancherial hospital wait ends at MLA’s doorstep
Reports say a family took an ailing woman from the district hospital to the MLA’s residence after alleging she was left waiting for hours. The hospital’s records remain absent from the story.

Multiple reports say Raj Kumar pushed his mother, Bhukya Bujji, in a wheelchair for about two kilometres from Mancherial district government hospital to MLA Kokkirala Premsagar Rao’s residence after alleging she had been left waiting for more than five hours without treatment or a bed. Bujji, reported to be 55 and from Pulimadugu village, is said to have a kidney-related illness. Her diagnosis and hospital records have not been independently verified.
The reports say an RMO later spoke to the family, after which Bujji was taken back to the hospital. One account says a bed was arranged and treatment began. The reports do not establish whether she was registered, examined or formally refused admission. They also do not include a statement from the hospital, the MLA, the district administration or a police record. An allegation that staff assaulted Kumar appears in one report and is not independently corroborated.
The MLA’s identity is confirmed on the Mancherial municipal website. The hospital’s version, meanwhile, remains somewhere between the wheelchair and the paperwork.
