The Telangana government has constituted a committee to examine land-related irregularities and possible violations across districts, including matters linked in a published annexure to BRS leaders K. Chandrasekhar Rao, K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao and others. The order is G.O. Ms. No. 134, dated September 23, 2026, issued after a Legislative Assembly discussion on Section 22-A of the Registration Act on September 16.
The important part is the wording the political noise tends to lose. The committee must examine violations “if any”, fix responsibility “for the violations, if any” and recommend action “wherever warranted”. It can requisition records and submit interim and final reports. That is an inquiry, not a conviction packaged in government stationery.
