Attapur police have registered a case against trainee IPS officer M. Uday Krishna Reddy after a woman trainee complained of sexual harassment and assault at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, according to multiple reports. The Indian Express and others reported the booking; the FIR document and exact sections were not available in the public record reviewed.
A Telugu daily reported that Reddy was medically examined at Osmania General Hospital on July 29, produced before the Upparpally court, remanded for 14 days and moved to Chanchalguda jail.
