Irumudi clocks $125k pre-sales; receipts pending

Trade says Ravi Teja’s Irumudi raced past $125,000 in North America pre-sales before its August 21 release — with earlier $50k and $25k snapshots doing the rounds a day apart. The ‘best-ever overseas pre-sales’ claim remains just that: a claim.

A cinema-lobby scoreboard shows rising pre-sale figures from $25k to $125k while a locked drawer labelled receipts sits beside an August 21 calendar and a covered box-office counter.

Irumudi’s North America pre-sales claims rose ahead of the film’s August 21 release; an audited tally was not published.

Ravi Teja’s Irumudi, a Shiva Nirvana film from Mythri Movie Makers, is set for an August 21, 2026 theatrical release, per the banner’s official promos. The director has pitched it as a serious father–daughter drama with an Ayyappa backdrop, not a devotional film.

On August 19, a trade report attributed to the film’s North America distributor said pre-sales had crossed US$125,000 ahead of the region’s August 20 premieres. A day earlier, another trade piece put the North American advance at “over US$50,000,” and a separate snapshot cited US$25,000 — evidence mainly that bookings were moving and the scoreboard changed by the hour. None of these figures came with a public booking dashboard or an audited tally.

One report floated that the film was “on track” for Ravi Teja’s best-ever overseas pre-sales. It did not publish the comparison table to prove it. The film opens on August 21 either way; the box office will file the only number that counts.
