Shiva Nirvana’s Irumudi, starring Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Baby Nakshatra, released on August 21, 2026. The CBFC record confirms the film and its producers Mythri Movie Makers; it confirms nothing about collections.
For the opening weekend, a trade estimate circulated via Sacnilk put India net at roughly Rs 50 crore in three days, which a report translated into about Rs 72 crore worldwide. A separate feature listed Rs 71.87 crore worldwide off the same tracker. That is the state of play: estimates, close to each other, none of them audited.
Then the victory lap: the film team later announced Irumudi had crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide. That’s a producer claim, not a settlement sheet. Director Shiva Nirvana told a success meet the film reached break‑even in three days; again, a stage line, not a distributor account. Actor Nagarjuna called it a “blockbuster”, which is exactly what it sounds like — applause.
What we do have on paper: the CBFC certificate with Mythri’s producers named. What we don’t: territory sales, distributor shares, exhibitor settlements or GST‑tallied grosses. Until those show up, trade math is still trade math — something the Congress‑BJP spin factories love when it flatters their narrative and forget the moment a Telugu film asks for the same standard they demand in Delhi. The numbers may well be big; the paperwork, as ever, is shy.
