Irumudi’s “opening” moves, the number doesn’t
A tracker’s Day 1 figure for Shiva Nirvana’s Irumudi has changed mid-run. The film released August 21; the “₹7.94 crore opening” doing the rounds isn’t on the page now, and no producer or distributor has put a number on the record.
The tracker’s visible figures changed during Irumudi’s opening run; no official collection has been cited.
A live box-office tracker currently pegs Irumudi’s Day 1 at ₹15.37 crore and the running India gross at ₹55.64 crore as of Day 4, with a three-day total of ₹51.72 crore. Those are the figures visible on the tracker page on August 24, alongside its show, theatre and occupancy counts. According to the same page, the film released on August 21 in Telugu and Tamil.
What isn’t visible now is the ₹7.94 crore “opening” some posts cited earlier. The page does not show that figure today, does not explain a revision, and does not disclose its methodology beyond “India-tracked” advances. Treat the claim as a tracker output, not an audited statement.
On the record from elsewhere: a commercial database lists the India release as August 21 via Prathyangira Cinemas and records domestic box office as “n/a”. Translation: no verified collection there yet. Another industry listing recorded August 21 as the maker-announced release date, naming Mythri Movie Makers and T‑Series Films; it did not carry collections.
If anyone wants to run victory laps off a screenshot-from-memory, they can do it without us. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, Mythri Movie Makers, T‑Series Films or distributor Prathyangira Cinemas have not put a number on the record that we can cite. Until they do, the only numbers here are the tracker’s — and trackers change their minds mid-scroll.
