Jubilee Hills SHO saga: one order short
Reports say Inspector M. Muttu Yadav is suspended over lapses in the N. Sumanth case. The order that proves it is still missing from the record.
The reported suspension has yet to be matched by an order in the public record.
Two reports on 25 August said Jubilee Hills inspector M. Muttu Yadav was suspended for “alleged negligence” in the case naming N. Sumanth, former OSD to minister Konda Surekha. Both reports attribute the action to Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar — and both stop short of citing a suspension order or a police press note. According to one of them, “further details about the suspension order… are awaited.”
What the record does show: on 29 July, Inspector M. Muttu Yadav was posted as SHO, Jubilee Hills, replacing U. Srinivasulu Reddy, who had been moved out earlier after an unrelated complaint. Separately, a complaint by businessman G. Harikrishna led Medipally police to register a zero FIR and transfer it to Jubilee Hills; he alleged Sumanth and others demanded Rs 10 crore and assaulted him. Police later picked up Sumanth’s driver near Tellapur. These are complainant allegations and an arrest described in reports; the FIR itself and remand papers were not located.
If Yadav has now been suspended over lapses in this case, the paper trail — order number, sections, dates — will exist. Until the Hyderabad Police publish it, it is a reported action, not a documented one.
