KCR finds the water-war button again
At Erravelli, the BRS chief ordered legislators into the Assembly fight and threatened a mass irrigation agitation. The programme still has no timetable.

K. Chandrashekar Rao has announced another “water war” over Telangana’s irrigation projects, while the Congress government gets on with the traditional political response: leaving the charge unanswered.
At a BRS Legislature Party meeting at Erravelli on September 6, Rao directed the party’s MLAs and MLCs to raise irrigation, Kaleshwaram, Palamuru-Rangareddy and other public issues in the Assembly. He said he would lead an agitation involving “lakhs of people” if what he described as continued neglect of Kaleshwaram persisted. The Congress government’s response to these allegations was not recorded in the material reviewed.
UNI also reported preparations for a state tour and padayatra, but said it was not settled whether Rao or K. T. Rama Rao would lead it. Harish Rao separately said the mobilisation would follow the Assembly session. No date, route, participant target or formal action programme has been published in the material reviewed. This establishes a political intervention, not a completed movement or proof of every irrigation claim made at the meeting.
The BRS has at least put irrigation back on the agenda. The Congress government has yet to answer the questions attached to it.
