KTR praises *The Paradise*. Politics stays in the subplot

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao watched Nani-starrer The Paradise at a Hyderabad theatre and praised its treatment of identity, suppression and social struggle. According to an ANI-syndicated report, the screening took place at Sudharshan Theatre on September 26 with BRS leaders and party members. Another report placed the event at a Hyderabad theatre without naming the venue.
KTR said director Srikanth Odela had shown how revolt begins when people are suppressed. The longer version of his remarks also praised the film for capturing Telangana’s soil, dialect and culture. Cinema, apparently, has now joined the list of places where Telangana’s political vocabulary travels better than official speeches.
Priyadarshi’s MLA Shankaranna has been discussed as resembling former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. KTR reportedly said the inspiration did not need to be named because it was obvious. That remains an interpretation, not a confirmed statement from the makers.
The film’s reception has been less unanimous. Nani acknowledged audience reactions, trolls and flaws identified by critics and reviewers. Trade tracker Sacnilk estimated ₹34.65 crore India net on day one, while reported worldwide estimates ranged from ₹74.90 crore to ₹76.90 crore. Those are trade estimates, not audited figures. The Congress, BJP and TDP have not been asked to explain why a film about Telangana’s voice has managed without their assistance.
