Land inquiry launched; conviction still unavailable
Telangana’s Congress government has ordered an administrative probe into alleged land irregularities, including matters reportedly linked to BRS leaders and associates. The order records no finding of wrongdoing.

Telangana’s Congress government has constituted a committee to examine alleged land irregularities across several districts, including matters reportedly linked to K. Chandrasekhar Rao, K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao and other BRS leaders, family members, associates and companies.
G.O.Ms.No.134, issued on September 23, names A. Sridevasena, IAS, as chairperson. The committee will examine possible violations involving government, assigned, ceiling-surplus, Bhoodan, forest and other lands, as well as land acquisition, rehabilitation, water bodies and land records. It can requisition documents and submit interim reports.
The annexure details come from a reproduced copy of the order published by Telugu360; the committee’s existence and broad mandate are independently reported by The New Indian Express. The order itself uses the phrases “violations, if any” and “fix responsibility ... if any”. It does not say that KCR, KTR, Harish Rao or anyone else has committed wrongdoing. No public response from the named leaders or the BRS to this order was located in the material reviewed.
The Congress government has opened an inquiry. It has not opened a conviction factory.
