Sun Pictures has put DC on its own slate for an August 7, 2026 theatrical release, calling it a “romantic action drama” with Lokesh Kanagaraj as Devadas and Wamiqa Gabbi as Chandra. That’s the dated, on-record part. According to the producer’s announcement relayed in coverage, the film “is certified ‘A’,” but an accessible CBFC certificate or listing was not found to back it up.

The producer also announced territory partners: Asian Suresh Entertainment for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and Gokulam Movies for Kerala and Karnataka, via a social post quoted in reporting. The same coverage notes the date was moved from July 31 to August 7. The official page now reads August 7, which is the only date that actually exists in public documents.

For Telugu theatres, Asian Suresh’s handle being named is the tell; what it is not is a screen count, a terms sheet, or a CBFC number. When those arrive, they’ll be facts. Until then, it’s one producer’s poster doing all the talking.
