C. Kalyan has been elected president of the Telugu Film Producers Council unopposed, with the Mana Panel taking most of the reported posts. The Telugu film industry has a new leadership team; the paperwork, naturally, still has one plot twist.
The TFPC’s September 6 result note says Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao was elected treasurer, Mohan Vadlapatla and Damodara Prasad vice-presidents, and Ammi Raju and Thummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana joint secretaries. The Mana Panel also won 12 Executive Committee seats, against three for the Progressive Panel, according to the council and a subsequent report. Kalyan separately thanked members for what he called a “95% majority”; the full vote tally has not been published in the material reviewed.
The Secretary result was sealed because a case concerning the post was pending in court. The TFPC said it would be revealed before a judge on September 8, but no accessible court order or later council announcement confirming the winner was found. The panel has said it will announce an action plan focused on small producers at a later media conference. For now, the presidency is decided and the Secretary’s chair remains in procedural suspense.
