Allegations over transfers and promotions in Telangana’s Mines and Geology Department have been published, but the public record currently contains more claims than documents.
A report dated August 31, 2026, says written complaints were submitted to the government and Vigilance Department seeking an independent inquiry. It alleges that a Departmental Promotion Committee met on July 9 and promotion orders were issued on July 14. It also carries claims of payments ranging from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, promotions involving employees said to have Vigilance cases, and transfers before the alleged three-year service period.
Those claims remain unverified. The complaints, DPC proceedings, promotion orders, seniority list, case numbers and relevant transfer rule were not available in the material reviewed. The official department page identifies Anudeep Durishetty as Director and T. Shyam Rao as Assistant Director (Administration), but publishes none of those 2026 records. The report says Shyam Rao did not provide an appointment; no substantive departmental response is recorded.
