Nagarjuna’s 100th film as a lead actor has finally acquired an official title: King100. Annapurna Studios released the first glimpse on August 29, Nagarjuna’s 67th birthday, and announced a theatrical release on December 24, 2026. The makers’ post said: “LONG LIVE THE KING” and “IN CINEMAS DECEMBER 24th, 2026.” (NewsBytes; Cinema Express)

Ra Karthik has written and directed the film, with Annapurna Studios producing and Devi Sri Prasad composing the music. Tabu is part of the cast in a pivotal role, according to Cinema Express; her involvement was also reported after an earlier Instagram post about beginning work on the film. The glimpse raises money, class and identity. Its voiceover contrasts people with money and those without it, while visuals reportedly include a scam-related news report, Nagarjuna in a poor avatar and Nagarjuna holding a baby. That establishes a mood, not a plot. The film’s genre, character details and the significance of the scam remain unconfirmed. Even the title has arrived before the synopsis, which is one way to make a century film keep its identity mysterious.
