Congress has launched “Chhatron Ki Goonj” to demand Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the alleged NEET‑UG 2026 paper leak, with Rahul Gandhi fronting the campaign and AICC leaders dispatched to press meets across states, according to the party’s own releases. A PTI report said the plan spanned 28 cities with street outreach from June 30 and district‑level protests on August 1.
Here is the part not in the slogans: the BJP‑led Centre itself says the CBI has registered an FIR into the “alleged irregularities and paper leak” after a complaint from the Department of Higher Education, and the probe is to establish the “nature and extent” and who is responsible. That is an investigation, not a concluded verdict, and it does not name Pradhan as culpable.
Congress meanwhile can’t agree with itself on when to march on Delhi — its campaign page listed July 14, while the PTI report said August 9. As of today, the party hasn’t bothered to square that circle. What Telangana students need is a clean exam system, not a calendar of shifting rallies.
Set the bar where it belongs: fix the testing architecture, publish the audit trail, and let the CBI finish. If the BJP‑led Centre has answers, produce them; if the Congress has evidence, table it. Telangana’s interest is a credible, timely exam — not a blame relay where the baton changes hands but the finish line never arrives.
