Telangana-set Telugu comedy-drama Pallaburusu is now streaming on Prime Video, after its theatrical release on August 14. The film’s OTT arrival was listed for September 2 by Prime Video and a streaming roundup, with a Telugu report also confirming its availability on the platform.
Written and directed by debutant Uday Chauhan, the film follows Shambo, an elderly widower, whose request for a toothbrush from his son Tirupati grows into a legal conflict. Prime Video’s synopsis supplies the basic domestic emergency; the production appears to have supplied the courtroom. The exact legal mechanism is described differently across the available material, so “courtroom conflict” is the safer version.
The cast includes Kethiri Sudhakar Reddy, Muralidhar Goud, Prajwal Yadma and Gomathy Reddy. Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios backed the film. Its Telangana setting has been emphasised by both the production and Nagarjuna Akkineni, who described it as a “completely a Telangana backdrop story”.
The available research does not establish the release territory, access model or theatrical performance. For once, the toothbrush has a clearer status than the box-office figures.
