PRC due in 2024, deadline arrives in 2026

Telangana employees have deferred their proposed agitation after talks with the state government, which reportedly set September 18 as the target for submitting the long-delayed Pay Revision Commission report. The deadline is still ahead; the delivery is not yet on record.
The Second PRC was constituted through G.O.Ms.No.159 on October 2, 2023, with instructions to submit its report within six months. That put the deadline around April 2, 2024. A TGEJAC letter dated April 1, 2026 said the report was still pending. The Telangana government had also recorded, after a May 2 meeting, that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to obtain the report immediately and would decide on pay revision based on it. “Immediately” has since acquired a September 18 sequel.
Reports said the talks also covered six pending DA instalments and the demand to scrap the Contributory Pension Scheme and restore the Old Pension Scheme. No government order located in this research confirms a fresh DA release, a CPS-OPS panel, or implementation of any pay revision. The Chief Secretary’s official account said he wrote to the PRC chairperson urging an early report and referred to another meeting on September 18. The government has set the date. The paperwork now has one job: turn an assurance into evidence.
