Publish the list. Then explain
Harish Rao wants Revenue Minister Ponguleti out over the Section 22A mess. The Congress government in Telangana still hasn’t put the prohibited-lands list online — the High Court had to nudge them to even answer for the delay.

BRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao on Sunday demanded that Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy resign over private properties turning up on the Section 22A “prohibited” list. Speaking at a protest in Malkajgiri, he asked for three basic things the Congress government has managed to dodge so far: remove wrongly listed properties without making owners run circles, publish who added what and when, and order an independent probe with a white paper on the inclusions and removals. According to the report, he also wants the issue taken up in the Assembly.
The minister, identified on the state’s own page as heading Revenue, has reportedly said officials pushed incomplete lists to sub-registrars and announced a committee and a helpline with a three‑day turnaround. If that fixes it, good — start by publishing the full list and every change to it. The Telangana High Court has already had to ask the government to explain why the list isn’t on the Registration Department website, and posted the case for August 20.
Section 22A entries lock an owner out of selling, gifting or mortgaging — this is not a clerical typo you “look into” later. Harish Rao’s demand is the minimum standard: put the list in public, stamp the file number on every inclusion, and tell people who signed it. Until the Congress government in Telangana does that, the minister can keep the apology; the paperwork will do.
