Rashmika gets the MS role; details remain in tanpura mode
Geetha Arts has announced Rashmika Mandanna as M.S. Subbulakshmi in _MS – A Legacy On Screen_, with Gowtam Tinnanuri directing and Anirudh Ravichander composing.

Rashmika Mandanna has been announced as M.S. Subbulakshmi in MS – A Legacy On Screen, a biopic linked to the Telugu film industry. Geetha Arts’ announcement names Gowtam Tinnanuri as director, Anirudh Ravichander as composer and Kamal Haasan as chief guest for the launch. The production partnership includes Geetha Arts, Rockline Entertainment and Bunny Vas Works, with Allu Aravind, Rockline Venkatesh and Bunny Vasu named as producers.
The project is being launched in Chennai on September 16, coinciding with Subbulakshmi’s 110th birth anniversary. Rashmika’s reported Instagram caption put the title and first-look reveal at 5:15 pm, while other reports listed the event start as 6 pm. Whether that is a digital reveal followed by a physical event has not been confirmed. Cinema, it appears, has already scheduled two timings for one announcement.
The budget, full cast, filming schedule, release date, language plan and Rashmika’s preparation remain unpublished. The production release also claims that rights, permissions and family associations were assembled, but the material reviewed does not include supporting documents or a family statement. The title is confirmed. The rest is still waiting for its first look.
