Rejinthal stay stands. ‘Final cancel’? Show order
A 2023 High Court interim stay halted NIMZ land acquisition in Rejinthal. A report now claims a final withdrawal covering 566.12 acres and 292 farmers. Until the order and the Collector’s withdrawal are on the record, this remains a claim — and the Congress-run state owes farmers the document, not a whisper.

What is on paper: the Telangana High Court, on 16 August 2023, stayed “all further proceedings” under a Section 19(1) declaration for Rejinthal’s NIMZ acquisition after finding a declaration without a Section 15(2) order was “contrary to law”. According to the state’s own filing, proceedings in Rejinthal “have been stopped forthwith” and “as on date… stand cancelled.”
What is claimed this week: a report says the High Court has now directed withdrawal of the notification for 566.12 acres affecting 292 farmers, and that the district has issued withdrawal orders. The figures and the “final cancel” do not appear in any court order or Collector proceeding we could locate. The Rejinthal record we can point to shows a 2020 preliminary notification for 637.25 acres and later declarations totalling 1,012.34½ acres across 608 pattadars — numbers that do not neatly reconcile to 566.12 and 292 without the new order.
For the broader project, the state pitched a 12,635-acre Zaheerabad NIMZ led by TSIIC and a special-purpose vehicle. Rejinthal is one slice of that. If the slice is now officially off the plate, the Congress government in Telangana can publish the judgment and the withdrawal memo. Farmers shouldn’t have to rely on hearsay for their land status.
Until the High Court’s final order and the Sangareddy withdrawal are produced, the only settled position is the 2023 stay and the state’s own admission it stopped proceedings. If there is a clean legal finish, put the document up — not another line about how it’s all sorted.
