An old M. M. Keeravani interview is being circulated as fresh confirmation of RRR 2. It is not. The interview was published on March 9, 2023, and Keeravani said a sequel was possible but not then a priority because S. S. Rajamouli had to make a film with Mahesh Babu. The sequel has been discussed before. Rajamouli said in November 2022 that he and screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad had discussed it and that his father was working on the story.
