Sircilla meeting: promises enter before proof

The Congress government has a September 30 public meeting in Sircilla, where Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is scheduled to speak. Government whip Adi Srinivas has called it the beginning of KTR’s “political downfall”. That is a forecast, not a result; political weather departments remain unavailable.
Congress leaders are also advertising more than Rs 300 crore in textile-sector payments, 6.66 crore metres of saree orders last year, 4.60 crore metres this year, Rs 49 crore in handloom loan waivers, Rs 250 crore for Vemulawada temple development, Rs 80 crore for Kalikota Suramma land acquisition and Rs 1,000 crore in district development works. The supplied reports attribute these figures to the leaders, but the research contains no payment orders, sanctions, procurement records or project-wise expenditure statements confirming them.
The one solid number is the statewide farm-loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh announced by the Telangana government in 2024. The official releases do not establish Rajanna Sircilla’s district-wise beneficiaries or amount released. The one-lakh attendance figure is an organiser’s target, not an attendance record.
