Telangana government employees have called off—or, according to another account, temporarily postponed—a proposed agitation after talks with Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on September 9. The reported assurances cover expediting the Second Pay Revision Commission report, further discussions on pending dearness allowance and other bills, and a committee to examine the demand to replace the Contributory Pension Scheme with the Old Pension Scheme. The strike has been paused; the paperwork remains on the road.
Multiple reports say September 18 is the target for submitting the PRC report or holding further talks. The reports do not establish that September 18 is a payment date. No evidence located confirms that DA arrears have been paid, that a PRC has been implemented, that CPS will be scrapped, or that OPS will be restored. The letter reportedly sent to PRC chairman N. Sivashankar and the written assurance cited by employee leaders have not been published.
The accounts also differ on the JAC leadership: one names V. Lachi Reddy, while another names Maram Jagadish and Eluri Srinivasa Rao. Telangana employees have been given assurances. The government still has to produce delivery.
